Shinichiro Abe has over three decades of professional Landscape
Design and Site Planning experience spanning across three continents. Beginning in his native Japan, Shin refined his skills and philosophy. He apprenticed under renowned garden designer Professor Kinsaku Nakane
in Kyoto and throughout Japan. Finishing his education in the United States, Shin established ZEN Associates in 1980, and has established the firm’s reputation capable of designing and managing both commercial
and residential projects. Shin specializes in designing and building both contemporary and traditional Japanese-style landscapes of all scales.
